yes, my girl…

this mommy-mimic little lady turned 10 today!

 

how time flies…

once she was just a speck of a being inside my womb — slithering, dancing in a capsule until she found light. and now she’s a little lady!

 

being a mother of a little girl was not easy. i was not spared from fear, anxiety over her growing up years. i had doubts of her independence and decisions, yet i had to nurture her potential and capacities. being a woman myself, i know how it felt to get swayed with emotions, hence, make haste decisions in the offing. one has to be well-grounded to pull off the trick perfectly, and with time.

 

as for Chloe, there is no perfect concoction, no perfect formula for a successful parenthood. experience will teach her the lessons in time. my function is just to backstop, support her, bandage her wounds if necessary, and fill her up with theories about life.

 

her life will be about all her decisions. 

 

 

10 Reasons why Chloe makes me Proud…

 

  1. she sings so well!
  2. she sings for the Children’s Choir mass at church
  3. she’s very good in school (esp. Science!)
  4. she does homework on her own
  5. she helps me with housechores
  6. she’s sensitive  of other people’s feelings
  7. she can be trusted with money
  8. she’s honest and diligent
  9. she’s a lovable child
  10. she is a beautiful little lady

 

 

on one thought:

i must have done something good in this lifetime to deserve her!
